Mark started running at forty years of age, exactly 10 years ago, and only because another World Marathon Challenge runner, Chris Jonns, signed him up for the NYC Marathon against his will. Mark has since completed 7 marathons, 2 fifty-mile trail runs, three Ironman triathlons and the Atacama Crossing, a 150 mile self-supported desert race. Mark lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife and three sons.

WORLD MARATHON CHALLENGE

The World Marathon Challenge ® is a logistical and physical challenge to run seven marathons on seven continents in seven days. Competitors must run the standard 42.2 km marathon distance in Antarctica, Africa, Australia, Asia, Europe, South America and North America within 168 hours, or 7 days. The clock starts when the first marathon begins in Antarctica.
