Training for the World Marathon Challenge® is different from training for a single marathon.
Dena Evans, Runbuk's Coach in Residence, and the whole RUNBUK team bring extensive experience in running, coaching, and preparing athletes for demanding endurance events. However, no single training plan is right for every 777 participant. A standardized plan may be ineffective - or even counterproductive - because every runner begins with different levels of fitness, experience, recovery capacity, and personal goals.
The best approach is to understand your current capabilities, gradually build your endurance, and develop a personalized training plan with a qualified personal trainer or running coach.

Once you register for the World Marathon Challenge®, you will be invited to connect with the 777 community. This is an opportunity to ask questions, share training ideas, learn from other participants, and prepare together for the journey ahead.
The RUNBUK team will support you throughout your preparation and during the challenge. You will also have access to guidance and encouragement from fellow 777 participants.

Running may be the most visible part of the World Marathon Challenge, but it is only one part of the preparation. Recovery, sleep, nutrition, hydration, and your ability to adapt are equally important.
During the challenge, you will need to manage fatigue, limited sleep, changing climates, long flights, and repeated marathons. Your strategy may need to change from one continent to the next. Remaining flexible and adjusting your approach during the event will be essential.
